Poloj is the city bathing area on a bend of the Sava, around three kilometres east of central Slavonski Brod. Its sandy riverbank is framed by woodland and becomes a place for swimming and outdoor recreation in summer. The centre includes sports courts, children’s play areas, public barbecue spots and food-and-drink facilities; listed activities include beach volleyball, table tennis, chess and football. A 2.5-kilometre jogging and cycling trail leads to the bathing area. Along the stretch towards town, visitors can see riverside rafts with small houses, known locally as Splavarska ulica. A lifeguard service is organised during the summer season.
