Orahovica Monastery, dedicated to the Translation of the Relics of St Nicholas, stands above Orahovica on the wooded slopes of Krndija, in the village of Duzluk. Its earliest surviving records date to 1583, while the present monastery church was built in 1592. Three residential wings enclose a level courtyard, with the church at its centre; its ground plan is cruciform and ends in three apses. Built in the Morava-school style, it is an exceptional Slavonian example of this architectural tradition. Wall paintings survive inside, some revealed during conservation research. A narrow paved turn-off from the Orahovica–Kutjevo road leads to the complex.
