Poznanovec Castle

Poznanovec Castle, also referred to as Sermage-Ritter Castle, is a protected immovable cultural property listed as Z-1726. After its roof was repaired in 2000, the building remained in relatively good condition for a time, but theft of gutters and snow guards and the subsequent collapse of part of the roof led to further deterioration. In 2023, the Municipality of Bedekovčina received Ministry of Culture and Media funding for emergency repairs; in September 2025 it discussed further protection measures and a future use with the competent conservation service. Visitors should therefore view the castle only from outside and respect any safety restrictions around the building.
