The Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross stands at Gorščica, a grassy plateau in eastern Medvednica beside the mountain facility known as the Kaptol forester’s lodge. Jure Čorak built it in 1994 on the site of an earlier wayside crucifix, and Father Vlado Vlašić blessed it. Dedicated to the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, it is a modest devotional landmark within a hiking destination rather than a freestanding parish church. Marked trail 24 approaches Gorščica from Bidrovec, while trail 25 comes from Vidovec. The chapel is best visited as part of a walk, respecting the quiet character of the meadow.
